Shots on target season ticker: Gameweek 18

Here are my shots on target and shots on target conceded season tickers for Gameweek 18.

Shots on Target ticker GW18-23 2015-16

Shots on Target Conceded ticker GW18-23 2015-16

In Gameweek 17 the ticker underestimated the average number of shots on target per team by 0.13. There were 14 teams within two shots on target of the ticker value, including eight within one shot on target. The range was 7.01.

Aston Villa finally showed some attacking intent this week, hitting seven shots on target against Newcastle United – 3.94 more than the ticker value. The shooting boots were also on at Vicarage Road, where Watford managed five shots on target, 2.97 more than the ticker value for the game against Liverpool.

Accuracy was in short supply at the Liberty Stadium though as West Ham United and Swansea City only recorded two shots on target each, 2.17 and 1.18 below the ticker value respectively, in their 0-0 draw. Manchester United’s poor display against Norwich also saw them register just two shots on target, 3.07 less than the season ticker value.

    Myhill
    Souare. Sagna. Jones
    Barkley. Ozil. Kdb. Coutinho. Marhez.
    Vardy. Lukaku.
    Hennessey. Ighalo. Cresswell. Moreno.
2 free transfers. 6.0 in the bank.
Wanted to get aguero in this week but stuck on what to do. I had planned to ship ighalo but he continued his form although against a broken Liverpool defense. Then it’s who to down grade to make up the difference. I’m thinking coutinho but I’m not sure who for. Alli jumps out and gives me money to upgrade my defense further or upgrade Barkley in a few weeks.
Tough choices. 560k and need some more green arrows.

    • I’m not sure I’m best placed to offer advice. I might suggest shipping Vardy for Aguero but many would disagree with that. I swapped Vardy for Ighalo, which isn’t really in line with my ticker, but his recent personal stats – albeit mostly against weak opposition – can’t be ignored. Alli does free up cash but Coutinho has a nice fixture next week. Good luck Benji!

I feel like I have to make a transfer as to not waste my free one. Even thinking sagna to dier in anticipation of rotation from zabaleta. Then looking at 3 man city attackers going in to the new year. Kdb. Silva and aguero.
My worry about shipping Vardy is the price I got him at would mean I wouldn’t be able to get him back with out distrusting my team elsewhere

Hi Dave – can you pass a message to Balders for me please (I don’t have his email)? Just to say thanks for the rotation notes he posted on FFS, they were very interesting and gave me an angle I was looking for. Cheers and have a good holiday.

You’re welcome Ruth, I hope its useful, this is the first time I’ve seen fixtures like this in the last two and a half seasons and really hope those paying attention can make up ground on these 🙂

So I was aware of the fixture blocks but hadn’t looked in detail yet. Your post spurred me to do so and very useful it has been, cheers!

I kind of know what my strategy will be from around GW30 (Diva may post an article at some point). These rotations will provide a great angle between now and then.
